Gord Stimmel, wine critic for thestar.com, has bestowed the 2005 Command Shiraz as his 'highest rated Aussie red in 6 months'.

'with monster coconut, mint, chocolate, tar, and blackberry prowess, layered with complexity and a rich texture of great silkiness. The Ashmead family sculpts this amazing red from syrah vines planted around 1904. Surprisingly, there’s still lots on shelves, no doubt due to the price. But it is absolutely world class in a glass.'
